Originally the drowning minigame involved a fishing hook instead of a spoon. I thought the physics would make for a fun and clever challenge, but playtesting revealed that it was far too unintuitive, both on a technical level and on a mental level (most people don't use fish hooks to remove objects from a glass of water).

I then downgraded to a "physics" spoon that you could flick for momentum. When that ended up being worse than the fishhook, I gave up and made a solid spoon that just follows the player's mouse.

Surprisingly, this went from being the most frustrating minigame to the most fun one in the final build.
